Jorg WinkelmannProgramme Director - etma Strasbourg
Jorg Winkelmann is programme director at the French based media business school etma. Having strongly been involved in drafting and setting up etma's academic distance learning programme (DLP Media Management) in 2008, he has since been in charge of organizing and running this one-year diploma programme on a regular basis. The major target group of the DLP are professionals from the film and television industry seeking to stay informed about new developments in the media industry while having the chance to advance in their academic career. The tasks of the programme director include programme promotion, academic and administrative guidance for students, engagement in the online distance learning community, recruitment of the teaching staff, the assessment of assignments and the communication with the programme team at the Media School, Bournemouth University (UK), etma's official academic partner.
Earlier Professional Experiences :
- Project engineer at CAE Electronics, a leading company for simulation technologies. Responsible for product-development and marketing-activities regarding constructive simulation systems.
- Editor in Chief at radio "Voice of Freedom". Support of several cross-media campaigns in Afghanistan involving TV, print and radio while regularly writing articles for a biweekly published newspaper also called "Voice of Freedom" (Print-run of 390.000 copies in 2006).
- After extensive on-air radio performances, responsible for journalism-trainings for the editorial staff at Radio Andernach, including topics such as newscast preparation, reporting and on-air presentation.
- After receiving his master degree in educational sciences at the University of Munich (UniBwM), trained as a journalist at Radio Andernach, a German entertainment broadcaster.
