The Cluj Seminar
The SWIM in the Digital World seminar is an 18-day course organised by the SWIM Consortium made up by Sciencescom (the coordinator), Audencia, School of Management (FR), the Norwich University College of the Arts (UK), the Babes-Bolyai University (RO) and the Berlin University of the Arts (GER). The objective of the seminar is to provide participants with
extensive knowledge of the opportunities existing in the film and audiovisual industry thanks to the digital technology applied to this sector.
The Case Study method – worldwide recognised and widely used in management training – is the core of the seminar. It will be applied to the following audiovisual concepts :
- new ways of creating and producing,
- new distribution strategies and marketing,
- new ways of commercialising and distributing programmes.
Furthermore, renowned professionals and academics will hold conferences and lectures on the following topics :
- new ways of distribution and exhibition
- the challenges of the digital revolution
- VOD economic models
- analysis of a new advertising market vision…
Participants are provided with a wide range of digital technologies applied to the audiovisual industry and the importance of having a deep and up-to-date knowledge of the new process for developing, producing, distributing and promoting an audiovisual content. Students will gain awareness on how to take advantage of the digital technologies to be more efficient and more competitive in their positions and careers.
From May 28th to June 14th, UBB, Cluj, will host more than 80 participants - students, professionals, lecturers, tutors, and so on - from ten European countries for such a great multicultural event in Transylvania !
