SWIM Philosophy

Vendredi 5 mars 2010

It has to be said that the vision on which the SWIM in the Digital World action was founded: the digital revolution is turning the different professions across the audiovisual industry upside down, has evolved since its inception, 3 years ago.

Today, no one can question the reality of the digital revolution. Professionals of the audiovisual industry live with it every day in their different businesses. It is no longer the event that certain hoped for and others feared. It is part of the business environment because we have entered the age of the digital society.

From this shared and dynamic vision between professors of partners schools and universities, the SWIM Consortium was born and has developed since its Nantes France seminar in 2008 and its Cluj, Romania seminar in 2009, with the steady support of the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.

The SWIM training action has already given over 75 students from France, Germany, Romania, Spain, Italy, Hungary, etc the opportunity to seriously work together on real problems in the European audiovisual arena arising from the digital revolution under the supervision of lecturers and professionals closely involved in this issue.

40 students are expected to take part in the third edition of the SWIM in the Digital World seminar, from 27 May to 13 June 2010, in Zaragoza, Spain.

Professors, lecturers, tutors from San Jorge University in Zaragoza, the Berlin University of Arts, The Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj, Audencia Nantes School of Management, Wersterdals School of Communication and many others, in collaboration with professionals will work on the selected creative cases : digital projection, 3D cinema, WebTV, crowdfunding, and regional digital strategies will be on the cards !

We are striving to create a seminar of exception, a complete immersion with an intense and unique intercultural dimension.
